allinoneconfigure - configure an all in one vocal system.
allinoneconfigure [vyHrR] [-p config_file_path]
DESCRIPTION
The allinoneconfigure program initially configures a vocal(8) system in
a standard configuration for an "allinone" system, in which all VOCAL
servers are run on this host (hence allinone). By default, allinonecon-
figure interactively queries the user, and configures the system based
on its options. However, when passed the -y switch, allinoneconfigure
automatically uses its guessed values to attempt to produce a reason-
able system.
the script does several major things:
â¢
It sets up the vocal.conf file, used by vocalctl to know which
servers to start or stop.
â¢
It configures the servers needed for a default installation, namely a
single pserver(1), rs(1), and two ms(1) servers.
vocal(8) can be configured both as a single, standalone system and as a
distributed network of servers. For information about multi-host net-
worked configuration, please see
http://www.vovida.org/cgi-
bin/fom?file=655<URL:http://www.vovida.org/cgi-bin/fom?file=655>
In addition, allinoneconfigure can be passed -r or -R to change the
passwords for the administrator or the system itself.
OPTIONS
-v be more verbose about what is being done
-y do not be interactive -- automatically answer all questions with
default answers
-H update the HTML code without doing anything else.
-r change the administrator password
-R change the internal system password used for processes.
-p config_file_path
set the path to the config files. This defaults to
/usr/local/vocal/bin/allinoneconfigure.
